Mounting the Antenna
3-28 Antenna Installation
Toattachtheantennabrackettotheantenna,performthefollowingsteps:
1. Placetheantennasothatthesidewithscrewholesisfacingup.
2. Usethepolarizationlabelontheupperleftcorneroftheantennatoorienttheantennawith
thecorrectpolarization.
3. Situatetheantennabracketagainsttheantenna,
sothattheendagainsttheantennapivotsin
thesameplaneasthedesiredpolarization.Forexample,ifusingverticalpolarization,this
antennabracketendshouldpivotupanddown.Ifusinghorizontalpolarization,thisantenna
bracketendshouldpivotfromside‐to‐side.
4. Usethefour(yellow)hexnuts,
tosecuretheantennabrackettothebackoftheantenna.
5. Rotatethepivotofthebracketendattachedtotheantennatoadjusttheantennaposition.
Lockbracketindesiredpositionbytighteningnutsoneithersideofbracketendwith
wrenches.
Mounting the 5.8 GHz Panel Antenna to the Mast
Figure 3‐14illustrateshowtomountthe5.8GHzpanelantennatothemast.Table 3‐12liststhe
componentsforthisprocedure.
Tomounttheantennatothemast,performthefollowingsteps:
1. Adjustthesizeoftheopeningbetweenthemastbracketssothatitapproximatesthesizeof
themast.
Turnthecarriageboltnutstowardsorawayfromthemastbrackettoslideittowards
orawayfromtheothermastbracket.
2. Slidemastmountsoverthetopofthemast.
3. Tightenthecarriageboltnutsuntilthemastbracketsgripthemastsnugly.
4. Rotatethepivotofthebracketend
attachedtothemast toadjusttheantennaposition.Lock
bracketendindesiredpositionby tighteningnuts oneithersideofbracketendwith
wrenches.
