Power Meter, you must subtract 3 dBm from the measurement to correctly

compare those measured values to the values listed above (e.g., -29.5 dBm

peak = -32.5 dBm average).

A.4 EPIM-C (BNC PORT)

Internal Transceiver: Cabletron Systems TMS-3™ Transceiver

Connector Type: BNC receptacle, with gold center contact,

for use with BNC type tee-connectors and

RG-58 thin-net cable.

Termination: Using the switch to the side of the port, you can

internally terminate the port on the module via

a built-in 50 ohm terminator. This eliminates

the need to connect the port to a tee-connector

and terminator.

Grounding: For safety, connect only one end of a thin-net

segment to earth ground. Do not connect the

BNC port of an EPIM-C to earth ground.

Internal Termination Switch

= On (internally terminated)

= Off (need external termination)
