Forpropercoolingandairflow,alwaysreinstallthechassiscoversbeforeturningon

thesystem.Operatingthesystemwithoutthecoversinplacecandamagesystem

parts.Toinstallthecovers:

1. Checkfirsttomakesureyouhavenotleftloosetoolsorpartsinsidethesystem.

2. Checkthatcables,add‐in

boards,andothercomponentsareproperlyinstalled.

3. Attachthecoverstothechassiswiththescrewsremovedearlier,andtighten

them firmly.

4. ConnectallexternalcablesandtheACpowercord(s)tothesystem.

Amicroprocessorandheatsinkmaybehotifthesystemhasbeenrunning.Also,

theremaybesharp

pinsandedgesonsomeboardandchassisparts.Contact

shouldbemadewithcare.Considerwearingprotectivegloves.

Dangerofexplosionifthebatteryisincorrectlyreplaced.Replaceonlywiththe

sameorequivalenttyperecommendedbytheequipmentmanufacturer.Disposeof

usedbatteriesaccordingtomanufacturer’sinstructions.

Thesystem

isdesignedtooperateinatypicalofficeenvironment.Chooseasitethat

is:

•Cleanandfreeofairborneparticles(otherthannormalroomdust).

•Wellventilatedandawayfromsourcesofheatinclud ingdirectsunlight.

•Awayfromsourcesofvibrationorphysicalshock.

•Isolatedfromstrongelectromagneticfieldsproducedbyelectrical

devices.

•Inregionsthataresusceptibletoelectricalstorms,werecommendyouplug

yoursystemintoasurgesuppresseranddisconnecttelecommunicationlinesto

yourmodemduringanelectricalstorm.

•Providedwithaproperlygroundedwalloutlet.

•Providedwithsufficient spacetoaccessthepowersupplycord(s),becausethey

serveasthe

product’smainpowerdisconnect.
