powerfromthesystem,youmustunplugeachACpowercordfromthewalloutletor

powersupply.

Thepowercord(s)is

consideredthedisconnectdevicetothemain(AC)power.The

socketoutletthatthesystemplugsintoshallbeinstalledneartheequipmentandshallbe

easilyaccessible.

SAFETYSTEPS:Wheneveryouremovethechassiscoverstoaccesstheinsideofthe

system,followthesesteps:

1. Turnoffallperipheraldevices

connectedtothesystem.

2. Turnoffthesystembypressingthepowerbutton.

3. UnplugallAC powercordsfromthesystemorfromwalloutlets.

4. LabelanddisconnectallcablesconnectedtoI/Oconnectorsorportsonthebackof

thesystem.

5. Providesomeelectrostaticdischarge(ESD)protectionbywearinganantistatic

wrist

strapattachedtochassisgroundofthesystem—anyunpaintedmetalsurface—when

handlingcomponents.

6. Donotoperatethesystemwiththechassiscoversremoved.

AfteryouhavecompletedthesixSAFETYstepsabove,youcanremovethesystem

covers.Todothis:

1. Unlockandremovethepadlockfromthebackofthe

systemifapadlockhasbeen

installed.

2. Removeandsaveallscrewsfromthecovers.

3. Removethecovers.
